Come Experience Gatorland in Orlando

Gatorland has been around for many many years but I really never realized just how much there is to do there until we spent the day there this past weekend.  Between the shows, the water playarea, the petting zoo and the train ride we were busy all day long.

We started the day with Adventure Hour which is an up close and personal time with the gators where we all got to feed them!  This behind the scenes tour requires reservations but is well worth checking out.

Next we watched the Gator Wrestling show where a Gatorland trainer grabs a 6-8 foot gator by the tail and shows off his daredevil tricks.

While waiting for the next show to start we stopped into the petting area where the kids had fun feeding the goats and other animals.

The Gator Jumparoo Show was really fun to watch.  They had the kids cracking up quite a few times!  The crowd is divided into teams and you help cheer on the gators as they jump out of the water to get chicken dangling above them.

Make sure your kids wear a bathing suit because they will be begging to play in the water-play area.  And if you have an adventurous side, you may want to go on the zip line for an additional charge.

Gatorland is located at 14501 south Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando FL 32837.

Make sure you Like Gatorland on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter for special promotions.

Right now thru September 2, 2013, Gatorland is offering a $9.99 Florida Resident special allowing a family of four to visit the theme park for less than $45. Or if you are not a FL resident, there is a $2.50 off coupon you can print.
