11th Annual Orange County Family Fun Day

Come out to Blanchard Park YMCA located at 2451 N Dean Rd, Orlando, FL 32817 on Saturday Nov. 2nd, 10 am-2 pm for the 11th Annual Orange County Family Fun Day.  It is free for the family and will have games, rides, food trucks, entertainment and exhibits all hosted by MC RETRO BILL.

There will also be a Silly Sock Walk at 9 am where you can Walk and Talk with the family in your silliest socks. Bring an extra pair of new socks to donate to an Orange County Family in Need.

Drop off your shoe box or simply donate an new school supply to help a child in need.

MONSTER JAM® RETURNS TO ORLANDO ON JANUARY 25, 2014

MONSTER JAM® makes its return to the Orlando area when the annual motor sports spectacle drives into the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. The Monster Jam is one of Orlando’s most popular and largest single-day stadium events, attracting capacity crowds of over 60,000 fans. A huge field of sixteen monster trucks will compete in side-by-racing and the fan-favorite freestyle competition. One of the many highlights of this year’s event is the return of fan favorite Dennis Anderson (originator and driver of GRAVE DIGGER) to the city and stadium he calls his favorite.

The event will also feature 11-time and reigning World Champion MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION, plus Latino favorite EL TORO LOCO, MOWAWK WARRIOR, ICE CREAM MAN, MONSTER MUTT ROTTWEILER, the Orlando debut of Nicole Johnson driving SCOOBY, and more yet-to-be announced motorsports competitors.

Sea World Orlando Halloween Spooktacular 2013 #SeaWorldSpooktacular

Sea World Orlando's Halloween Spooktacular has begun and takes place weekends in October: 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27, from 12 to 8 pm, leaving the littlest of trick-or-treaters wide-eyed for all of the fun-filled activities.

Stop by Penelope’s Party Zone, located at SeaWorld’s Bayside area, where this dynamic underwater environment comes to life each day with a live DJ, a variety of interactive crafts to choose from, countless bubbles floating overhead and colorful pumpkin fish gliding around! 

Kids and parents alike can have a “splash” creating their own scrumptious cookies at this fun decorating station. Sugar cookies can be glazed then sprinkled with lots of fun toppings to complete your yummy Halloween treat. 

Make sure you stay for the Spooktacular Dance Party at the Village Square located at the front of the park where you can dance the night away with Princess Penelope and her undersea friends.  Children will rock out to a Spooktacular mix of line-dancing favorites as clouds of bubbles fill the air. The dance party kicks off at 7 pm and continues through til 8:30 pm Don’t miss it!

Even though Halloween Spooktacular is included with park admission you can add onto the fun even earlier by coming to the Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast (purchase required).  Join Count von Count, Elmo and his furry friends! Featuring a delicious buffet sprinkled with the hottest characters  in town, the Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast is a fun-filled experience sure to delight kids and parents alike. Free Women's Health Screening at Sams Club on 10/12

This year, Sam’s Clubs nationwide are offering free women’s health screenings and affordable immunizations to members and non-members who want to take a proactive stance on their wellbeing.

 

The women’s health screenings will take place on Saturday, October 12 from 11 am to 3 pm. Screenings are free and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy. Sam’s Club will give away more than 25,000 breast self-exam kits at the screenings, and will conduct preventive TSH tests which measure thyroid hormone levels in women.

The Krispy Kreme Millenia Doughnut Factory located at 4080 Millenia Blvd., Orlando, FL 32939 will mark the grand re-opening of the popular shop on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.  The shop was previously closed due to a fire in the fall of 2012.  The completely renovated and remodeled shop of approximately 5,200 square feet features the company's new interior and exterior design, finishes, and architecture including ample interior seating areas, a drive-thru, and the famous Hot Light^TM.

Sea World Debuts in the Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Red Lobster Seaside Express Lunch - Meals Under $10

Red Lobster is now offering Seaside Express Lunches at 2 Orlando locations including Sanford and Fashion Square.  The goal is great food at a great price (under $10) served quickly between 11 am and 2 pm.  This is the perfect solution for those that only get a limited amount of time for a lunch break from work.

How it works is like this:

1. Walk up to a kiosk, place your order and pay (you will be given a order # to place in the stand at your table)
2. If you ordered a drink, you will help yourself and then take a seat
3. Place your order card into the stand
4. Someone will bring your food out to you with a smile (7-10 minutes is the goal)

What I love about the menu is that meals start at only $6.99 and you get to choose a side, soup or salad to go with it.  You also get one of their wonderful cheddar bay biscuit too.  I highly recommend the lobster flatbread.  It was delicious !  Also the Sweet Chili Coco Shrimp is amazing and I will definitely get that when I go back next time.

Another great promotion they are running is the "Catch a Free Lunch" cards.  After buying 5 meals, you will get the 6th one free !!!  What an amazing deal since the price of each meal is already so low.
